Who is responsible

Mil-G (Pty) Ltd t/a Sicebi International Group Holdings (Reg. No. R7/77435), operator of Lakitsi, is the data controller. Contact: privacy@lakitsi.com or WhatsApp support.

What we collect and why

• Account details (name, phone, email, town) to run your account and notify you.
• Identity documents and a selfie (national ID or passport) to verify you before offers, rentals and listings, and to meet anti-money-laundering duties.
• Property documents (title deed, chief’s consent letter, mandate) to verify ownership and issue badges.
• Income documents for rental applications, shared only with the landlord of the home you apply for.
• Deal records (offers, agreements, signatures, payment references, messages) to run and evidence your transaction.

Who sees it

• Lakitsi’s verification team; the conveyancer, bond originator or landlord on your deal; banks you apply to; and service providers that host our systems (currently in the United Kingdom (London), under contractual safeguards).
• We never sell your data and never show your phone number to other users until a viewing is confirmed or an offer is accepted.

How long we keep it

• Identity and transaction records: 5 years after your last deal, as required by anti-money-laundering law.
• Other account data: until you close your account, then 90 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data (subject to the retention above), object to processing and complain to the Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM), the data protection authority. Email privacy@lakitsi.com.
